Throughout high school, the one thing Aidee regretted the most is not finding her potential when it came to her voice. Singing was something she has always loved to do, and being in the music department is where she is most happy and comfortable. As her senior year drew to an end, she didn’t want to end it feeling unsatisfied with what was left unaccomplished. Our school has amazing talent and even more talent in the teachers, and she wished to use that to her advantage. She worked with Ms. Chandler to find that potential in her voice and learn a classical style of singing. She learned about the anatomy of the throat and the respiratory system. She learned how to translate her music into an IPA style format. When it comes to how to actually sing she says she is “just beginning”, but listen to her voice!

Scenes from the Black Lives Matter Event 1/15/2016
On the morning of Friday, January 15, we had an extraordinary opportunity to hear from members of our school as well as respond to video featuring KRS-One, Jeezy, and Spike Lee speaking about the current issues surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement. Our panel consisted of Principal Peg Regan, Wade Johnson, Carolyn Miller, Sergeant Mike Marchand, and Chief Eric Blake of the Oak Bluffs Police Department.
We are very grateful to Brenda DeOliveira (class of 2016) who provided many of these photos, and to Lawrence Layton who provided video and inspiration
