- Global Studies 2 is an interactive, research based program where mandated curricula material is taught through a variety of means utilizing multiple intelligence's.
- Students are encouraged to use higher level critical thinking skills and are empowered to learn through their strongest abilities.
- This project based approach to learning enables students to research issues in more depth than is usually the case in a classroom dependent upon a textbook though a classroom text is used among a variety of other media.
- Each year students are involved in the African American Heritage Trail of Martha's Vineyard project which gives them opportunities to receive training as research historians, landscapers, muralists, film makers and poets.
- Students are also involved with the Cultural Heritage program at Harvard and the Facing History & Ourselves Institute in Brookline, Massachusetts.
