The Student Congress
|
|
Members
Members of the Student Congress are at-large representatives from the student's respective homerooms (at least two for each homeroom). These members will be chosen when school begins. The members are asked to report back to their homerooms before and after each meeting to discuss the agenda determined by the moderators.
|
Congress Leadership
From the members of the Student Congress selected by the homerooms are elected no more than three moderators. The moderators control meetings, held much like a town meeting, and determine an agenda for each meeting. Mr. Houghton is the faculty advisor for the Student Congress.

What We Do
The Student Congress was designed to pool a wider base of students on important issues at the high school. For instance, there was a great debate over the hallway camera issue at a Congress meeting. The opinions expressed at these meetings are taken into account by the Student Council and reported to the administration. |
Get Involved
Do you want to have a louder voice in the student body? Ask to be chosen as a representative to the Congress from your homeroom. Then attend meetings and express yourself! |
