The Martha's Vineyard Performing Arts Center is an 791 seat theater with superb technical facilities, and excellent acoustics. It is on the island of Martha's Vineyard, and is centrally located; convenient to the three down-island towns of Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs, and Edgartown.
Comfortable seating and excellent sight lines are hallmarks of the Martha's Vineyard Performing Arts Center. The front of the house offers orchestra seating, while the rear has stadium seating. Both sections have ample leg room, and the Auditorium is air conditioned.
A full compliment of modern lighting instruments, coupled with a complete counterweight fly system and generous stage proportions makes the Martha's Vineyard Performing Arts Center an excellent venue for many types of events.
Lighting control is via the state-of-the-art Strand LBX console, which can be configured for fully automated show control, or as a simple two scene preset board. 192 dimmers, in a dimmer-per-circuit installation, and a multitude of stage and house lighting positions with easy access, allow for very flexible and efficient lighting design.
Built-in sound reinforcement microphones, full digital signal processing, and a plethora of effects speaker locations, provide great flexibility for the theatrical sound designer. The theater system can easily be fed from a tour console located in the house.
