1. Open up your Web browser and find a site that you want to link. Select the URL address in the location window (ie. http://www.mvrhs.org) and copy it (Edit Menu and Copy).
2. Open up Appleworks and create a new Wordprocessing Document.
3. Type in words to use as the link to the Internet Site e.g. Click here to go to the High School Web Site
4. Highlight/Select the words with your cursor, then go to the button bar and click on the "creates a URL link..." (see the image below for the icon).

5. A window will appear that allows you to type in the Name of the link (use this to organize your links). In the URL box use Edit and Paste to paste in the URL that you copied from your web browser. The selected words will turn blue and underlined, and your cursor will turn into a hand when it goes over top of it. Click on it to go to the web link.

6. To edit links, use the "Show Links Palette" in the WINDOW Menu to access editing and deleting functions.
