School takes its test

Two weeks ago, students found several strangers sitting in their classrooms. Representatives from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) visited the high school to collect information about whether the school would meet the standards necessary to continue with its accreditation. New Assistant Biology Teacher

Student teacher Jason Neago joined the school’s science department staff recently. Mr. Neago said, “I was in the military and read a book called 3 Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. The book talked about education in the Middle East. Instead of focusing on education there, I focused it here. My mom was a teacher for 35 years. Seeing her impact on her students made me want to become a teacher.”...   Read more

The High School View has been selected the #1 student newspaper in both MA and New England for 2013 by the The New England Scholastic Press Association (NESPA). We are honored and appreciative.
 

Technology revolution comes to the high school

History teacher Joel Graves was chosen recently by Google to be one of the first teachers worldwide to receive his Google Glasses. Google Glass is a new, beta technology made by Google that enables the users to record what they’re doing from their own perspectives. Only 8,000 people in the world will have the opportunity to buy the first pairs. ... Read more here
