Grading Policy

Your quarter grades will be calculated on a point basis. Each assignment will have a specific point value. At the end of the quarter, your total points earned will be divided by the total possible points. The reult will be your quarter grade. For example, if at the end of the quarter, you have earned 360 points out of a possible 410 given in the quarter, then your average would be 360/410 or an 88 for the quarter.

A quiz may only be made up in the case of excused absences, but it cannot be taken once it has been returned in class.

Writing assignments turned in after the due date will be penalized for each day late. Writing assignments not turned in within five class periods will receive a zero. Excused absences will not be counted as a day late.

Exams may only be made up in the case of excused absences and must be scheduled for a time outside of class within 5 days of your return to school.

Homework is to prepare you for the class on the day it is due, homework will not be accepted for credit after the due date except in cases of excused absences.

Classwork missed due to an absence will need to be made up. Failure to do so will result in the loss of points.
