This yearlong course is specifically designed for students who have attained intermediate level proficiency in English but have not yet developed the skills appropriate for a mainstream English class. The focus is on reading skills and strategies, speaking, listening and academic writing. Sheltered English offers ESL students a bridge from their first ESL English classes to mainstream English.
