This type of super computer is very expensive and large. Parallel processing computers are used for the most difficult computing tasks, such as, modeling and predicting the weather, modeling nuclear explosions, designing other computers and so on.

The hard part of using parallel processing computers, is to write the programs that will use all the microprocessors in the machine at the same time.
